If you are browsing around the net or local screen printers looking to get your next t-shirts printed, Be sure you are comparing {Apples to Apples}. Lets take a look at what that looks like in screen printing. First, What type of shirt are you wanting/getting. Understand, everyone uses the same shirts from the same mills. But you need to know what shirt you are being quoted on.If you are going with a “standard tee”, Hanes, Gildan, Fruit of the loom,  or anvil the cost and quality  will be all about the same. Gildan offers the most colors, although we prefer the fit and wear of a Hanes standard tee. If you are going to go with a “fashion fit” or “ring-spun tee” you have several good options as well.  The “top end” of the fashion fit tees are American apparel and Alternative apparel.  Both carry a great feeling and fitting tee, both also have a wide variety of other products including Hoodies, jackets, polos, collard shirts, sweaters, and more. Expect to pay more for American apparel and Alternative Apparel garments.
Other options for “ring-spun” tees are Tultex, Bayisland, Anvil, NextLevel, Gildan and Alstyle. The price points for most of these brands run very close. Within  .25 -.50. Still Be sure you a getting a quote on the same shirt. Tulttex & Gildan seem to be the most widely used, We think  that  nextlevel and Anvil feel, fit, and wash the best.
Now to the nitty-gritty. The screen printing stuff. Be sure to find out what your screen charges and if you will have any setup fees. ( Most everyone charges screen charges) A lot of companies charge set-ups. FaveurINK does not.
